SYNOPSIS

A young college girl reflects on and mourns the loss of her childhood pet. Accepted into the 57th Annual Humboldt International Film Festival.

STATEMENT

You Don't Know Jack navigates processing grief and loss from miles away. Upon moving across the state when leaving for college, my greatest fear was that I wouldn't be home for my dog's passing. While Jack is alive and well, he is approaching twelve years old. My goal throughout this project was to communicate both an emotional and relatable story with minimal dialogue and no score.
